Course Description
The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 program is the next iteration of the CMMC cybersecurity model. It is designed to enforce protection of sensitive unclassified information that is shared by the Department of Defense with its contractors and subcontractors by providing increased assurance that industry is meeting the cybersecurity requirements that apply to acquisition programs and systems that process Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). In this course, your employees will gain the skills and knowledge they need as current information technology professionals to gain their Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) certification.
What Employees Should You Enroll?
If you have employees with 1-2 years of experience in IT that are interested in taking the CCP Exam*, this course is a perfect fit. This course was designed for those with no previous knowledge of or experience with CMMC and is designed to help students pass the CCP Exam*. Please note that there are requirements students must meet to take the exam, however they do not need to meet all of these requirements to take this course. The requirements to take the CCP Exam are:
- A college degree in a cyber or information technical field OR 2+ years of related experience or education; or 2+ years of equivalent experience (including military) in a cyber, information technology, or assessment field; and
- Suggested CompTIA A+ or equivalent knowledge/experience; and Complete Certified CMMC Professional Class offered by a Licensed Training Provider (LTP); and
- Pass the DOD CUI Awareness Training no earlier than three months prior to the exam.
What Your Employees Will Learn
In this course, students learn the necessary skills they need to pass the CCP Exam*. CMMC standards are designed to ensure that sensitive unclassified information is being properly handled and safeguarded with cybersecurity measures, and as a CCP, students will be responsible for ensuring that organizations are compliant. This includes the assessment, examination, verification, and review of an organization for compliance to a respective level of CMMC standards, including relevant supporting materials, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements to protect Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
How Your Employees Will Learn
The retail version of this course is 12 weeks long, fully online, and asynchronous. For corporate clients, we are able to provide flexibility with the timing of this course. However, the content of this course is not able to be adjusted due to regulations relating to the CCP Exam. Since this course is designed to be asynchronous, students learn through videos, readings, and short assessments designed to match the format of the CCP Exam* to help set them up for success.
