If you’ve worked in healthcare for two or more years in a non-technical manager role, this course will equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to effectively decide which emerging healthcare technologies are best suited for your organization and your patients’ needs.

What You’ll Learn

Through an exploration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual and Augmented Reality (AR), and Blockchain - among other popular technologies - you will discuss appropriate uses in healthcare and think critically about long-term implications and results. You will delve into the transformative power of these technologies to enhance diagnostics, streamline processes, and improve patient outcomes. Additionally, you will examine robotics in automating repetitive tasks and supporting surgical procedures, ultimately enhancing precision and patient safety.  Throughout this course, you will simulate decision making through debate with their peers on the ethical implications of emerging technologies, and create impact analysis documents as well as strategic proposals for disruptive technologies.

How You’ll Learn

This four week course includes live, synchronous instruction will last 2 hours once per week for the duration of the course, and you will need to spend approximately 2 hours each work on homework and self-study materials as well. In total, you will spend 8 hours in synchronous instruction periods and 8-10 hours on your coursework outside of class over the entirety of the course.
