If you have not taken that exam and don’t have the skills necessary yet, our Information Technology Fundamentals course can prepare you. What You’ll Learn

These skills include understanding, implementing, and troubleshooting with a variety of network types, supporting the use of network operations and network security, understanding the fundamentals of networking, and more.
How You’ll Learn
Networking Technologies is an online course with a hybrid learning structure. This means there will be a combination of synchronous online lectures once per week with asynchronous lab work and textbook readings to complete on your own time. If you are unable to attend the live lectures, they will be recorded for future viewing.
For this 12-week course, you will need to dedicate 5-7 hours per week to completing your coursework, which includes the lectures. Each week covers a specific unit, and although you can divide your time in whatever way works best for you, it is in your best interest to complete each unit’s work within that week. You have the flexibility to complete your asynchronous work whenever you have time in your busy schedule while blocking the time on your calendar to attend the weekly live lectures or view them later.
Skills You Will Gain
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Summarize the fundamental concepts of networking
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot a network
- Support the use of network operations and network security
- Compare uses for and implementation of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet
