Clear and concise writing is important for effective communication in any medium, and that means taking into account the audience, what you’re trying to communicate, and how it will be viewed. When it comes to writing for the web, there are a multitude of different genres to consider writing in, from websites to social media and more, and it’s important to understand the differences between writing for different web-based genres. In this course, you’ll dive into the nuances in writing for these different platforms and get hands-on experience creating both internal and external facing pieces of web-based writing.

The coursework involves practical projects, including explaining the considerations you’ll keep in mind when writing and designing web-based deliverables, designing a website framework to support a sample technical product, creating a wiki for internal product support, creating a strategy for supporting a sample technical product through social media, and more.
