CE-AIAP-3001 - Advanced Media Generation

Course Description

Generating AI content such as images, videos, music, and more can be done, but doing it well and integrating multiple forms is a more difficult skill to master. In this course, you’ll gain hands-on experience with fine-tuning your processes to create AI generated media and integrate multiple media forms together to make cohesive content.

Is This Course For You?

Advanced Media Generation is designed for working professionals with some experience working with generative AI. If you’re interested in gaining more knowledge and skills related to generative AI before taking this course or interested in pursuing the Applied Generative AI Mastery Certificate, we recommend that you take the three core courses in this program before taking this one. This is one of the elective options for the mastery certificate and can be taken concurrently with the capstone course, Building a No-Code or Low-Code AI Application.

What You’ll Learn

In this course, you’ll explore advanced techniques for generating creative writing, images, videos, and music using Generative AI. You’ll learn how to fine-tune models, use control parameters, and combine different AI modalities to develop complex multimedia projects including illustrated storytelling, orchestrated video and animation, and thematic portfolios. As an addition to your professional portfolio that you can use to demonstrate the skills you’ve gained in this course, you’ll produce a project that integrates at least two media generators from different categories (i.e. image, video, music, voice, etc.). This project will demonstrate advanced techniques, such as training your own model, developing consistent scenes or characters, integrating human and machine-generated content, and more.

How You’ll Learn

This six-week course is fully online with required synchronous sessions throughout the course. Throughout this experience focused course, you’ll participate in hands-on labs for creative writing, image, video, and music generation. There will also be peer review sessions where you’ll give feedback on your classmates’ projects and get feedback on your own work. You’ll work on your final project during the course, and once you’ve presented the final project you’ll be evaluated by a professional jury.

Skills You Walk Away With

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand advanced applications in media generation using generative AI.
• Create high-quality writing, images, videos, and music using AI tools, such as Claude, Midjourney, Runway, Suno, and/or equivalent.
• Apply generative AI mixed media workflows to real-world projects.

Notes

Students should have a high-speed internet connection and be familiar with using web-based applications. All web-based applications can be run using a Mac or a PC with no software downloads required. 

Students are encouraged to use an LLM and an image generator in the preparation of their business strategy and may pick their preferred tools. This may require a paid subscription.
