CE-AIAP-3000 - Generative AI Strategy
Course Description
When new technology becomes popular, it can be easy to immediately jump to implementation, but it’s important to think strategically before incorporating new technologies, such as generative AI, to your organization’s workflows. In this course, you’ll learn how to create an integration roadmap for generative AI to ensure you use this exciting technology effectively and ethically in your organization.
Is This Course For You?
Generative AI Strategy is a course designed for professionals who have some experience working with generative AI and want to learn more about how it can be strategically integrated into their organizations. This course is also one of the elective choices for the Applied Generative AI Mastery Certificate, though it can be taken as a standalone course. If you’re pursuing the mastery certificate, we recommend that you take the three core courses in this program before taking this one. This course can be taken at the same time as the capstone course for this mastery certificate, Building a No-Code or Low-Code AI Application.
What You’ll Learn
In this course, you’ll gain strategic insights into the integration of generative AI across an organization. You’ll learn to assess the potential impact of AI on various functions including product development, marketing, sales, human resources, research and development, and information technology. In addition, you’ll develop scalable AI implementation plans to support your chosen business strategies. For your final project, which will demonstrate the skills and knowledge you’ve acquired in this course as a contribution to your professional portfolio, you’ll create a strategic plan that builds a roadmap for AI integration in a specific business area. The roadmap you’ll create for this project will include clear goals and objectives, a current state assessment, opportunity identification, a phased implementation plan, risk management and ethical considerations, and more. You’ll also make sure that your roadmap is visually appealing, understandable, and uses clear language. You’ll be encouraged to use AI in the development of your strategy as well as to document your process.
How You’ll Learn
This six-week course is fully online and asynchronous, so you will be able to complete your lessons and coursework each week at times that work best for you. Course activities will include strategy development workshops as well as discussion forums where you’ll talk with your classmates about AI integration case studies. You’ll also work on your AI integration roadmap project throughout the course as you gain the skills and knowledge you need to complete it.
