Course Description
Leaders are set apart by their ability to harness the creativity and drive of a dynamic team. In this course, students will learn several frameworks and techniques to identify emerging trends, foster creativity, and manage change. Students will refine their teams’ client-facing communications to manage client expectations, negotiate project scope, and build long-term client relationships. Students will leave the course ready to invigorate their teams with new strategies for creative collaboration, delighting clients, and amplifying their impact as leaders.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Assess the performance of a creative team, and develop feedback for improvement.
- Compare and contrast strategies for managing up, down, and across an organization.
- Develop client-facing communication strategies that lead to long-term client relationships.
- Adapt techniques used by successful leaders to foster creativity and capitalize on emerging trends.

Prerequisites
This is a credit-bearing, graduate-level course for non-matriculated students. Anyone with a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, and not currently matriculated in an RIT degree program, is eligible to enroll. While all are welcome to enroll, this course was designed for working professionals in advertising, marketing, and design who wish to advance their careers and expand their expertise.
